Emma Burnett (Past Speaker)

Emma is a Partner at CMS and head of its UK Data Protection practice. She has been advising clients on data protection matters for nearly 20 years. Emma was recently personally invited to represent a forum of professional advisers to the UK data protection authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). She also sits on the editorial board of legal knowledge business Lexis PSL for data protection. She recently produced a suite of GDPR compliant data protection clauses for data controllers and processors to be published by Lexis PSL. Emma regularly advises on large cross-jurisdictional privacy projects and co-ordinates advice within CMS and beyond. She is known for her proactive, solutions orientated approach.
