Marcel Van Wonderen (Past Speaker)

Marcel is an asset to the IBM Procurement organisation and currently hold the position of Procurement Transformation leader with a focus on Supply Risk. He has 25+ years experience in international leadership, supply chain & procurement transformation, strategic sourcing, consulting, workforce management, cost management and procurement outsourcing. Marcel is passionate about leading transformation initiatives; it inspires him every day that he is part of the IBM (Procurement) organisation that has the ability to change in its DNA. He strongly believes that as long as we don’t try to protect the past, we have the freedom to reinvent ourselves indefinitely. He is a catalyst for positive, well-organized change and never settles for the status quo. Instead, he sees the opportunity for innovation in the processes that others have long taken for granted.
